Caretaker Service

24/12 Hour Caretaker Services

A caretaker, often referred to as a caregiver, plays a pivotal role in the health and well-being of individuals who are unable to care for themselves due to illness, disability, age, or other circumstances. Caretakers provide essential support that can range from medical assistance to emotional companionship, ensuring that their wards live as comfortably and independently as possible. The responsibilities of a caretaker are diverse and demanding, requiring a blend of practical skills, empathy, and resilience.

Our Caretakers are well-trained, experienced, dedicated to providing quality care to our patients, and hold the following responsibilities.

Personal Care Assistance: Our Caretakers will assist with personal care tasks. This includes helping individuals with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting. For those who are bedridden or have limited mobility, the caretaker’s role in maintaining hygiene is crucial to preventing infections and promoting overall well-being.

Medication Management: Helping in the administration of medicines and management of patients with chronic conditions or those recovering from surgery. Our caretakers are responsible for ensuring that they administer medicine on time and at the correct dosages. This role may also involve monitoring for side effects, organizing medications, and communicating with healthcare professionals to manage any changes in prescriptions.

Mobility Support: For individuals with mobility challenges, Our caretakers provide vital assistance. This includes helping with walking, transferring from bed to wheelchair, and ensuring that their environment is safe and accessible. Mobility support also involves encouraging and assisting with physical therapy exercises, which are essential for maintaining or improving physical health.

Nutritional Support: Nutrition plays a vital role in the recovery and health of an individual. Our Caretakers will take care of feeding. They will help patients to feed oral feeds, RT feeds as well and PEG feeds depending on patients feeding requirements.

Emotional and Psychological Support: The emotional well-being of individuals in care is just as important as their physical health. Caretakers provide companionship, which can reduce feelings of isolation and depression, especially in elderly or terminally ill patients. Listening, engaging in conversation, and providing reassurance are vital aspects of this role, helping to improve the overall quality of life for the person in care.

Healthcare Coordination: Our Caretakers serve as liaisons between the individual in care, their family, and healthcare providers. They schedule appointments, communicate with doctors, and ensure that the care plan is followed correctly. This coordination is vital in managing the complexities of care, particularly for those with multiple health issues or those undergoing treatment for serious conditions.
